Lee-Ann and Martin are adventure enthusiast, so naturally they chose an adventure inspired location for their wedding. Springhill Suites Island Park Yellowstone was the perfect wedding venue for their celebration. They love to travel, fish, ride horses, and just enjoy the beauty of nature! On one of their vacations to the area, they connected with a fly fishing guide who taught them everything they need to know about fishing the famous Snake River, and they were hooked. Literally! haha.
They fall in love with the beautiful Island Park landscape on their trip decided to make Ashton, Idaho their permanent home. They found a beautiful property on the Ashton Hill overlooking the river below and moved in that fall. They were so excited they immediately started planning their wedding for the next summer. They couldn't wait to share their love for this beautiful area with the rest of their friends and family! Their planning didn't come without hiccups though. That winter was the most intense Ashton and Island Park had seen in 20 years. Which was fantastic for the winter sportsman! But not so great when you're planning an outdoor June wedding. We were a little nervous their riverside ceremony at the Springhill Suites Island Park Yellowstone would still have snow in June, which it never does, but this winter seemed to last forever! Luckily, the snow melted quickly through March and April and the area was lush and green for their wedding day. In fact, I don't think the weather could have been better. It was just cool enough, the men weren't uncomfortable in their suits, and the couple provided beautifully wrapped fleece white blankets for the women if they felt chilled.
To start the day, the amazing makeup and hair artist Trudi Day, owner of Labella Rose Beauty, came early to pamper and beautify the bride for her perfect day. I always love when I get to work with Trudi. She's so happy and calm when nerves start coming! She's like a therapist too! Next up was the beautiful outdoor ceremony along the Snake River. The Plush Floral team created a gorgeous floral arch right along the river. Together they provided a stunning backdrop for the couple to exchange vows and commit themselves to each other. They couldn't have picked a more perfect officiant (and DJ), Chris owner of Wildfire Entertainment. He took time to get to know Lee-Ann and Martin, and their ceremony was so personal, meaningful, and fun! Which matched the couples personality perfectly. After a short session of family and couple portraits, the wedding party enjoyed a relaxing cocktail hour to proceed a beautiful dinner catered by Liz Jensen, now GM of Springhill Suites, and her team. The dinner was beautiful, on schedule, and of course delicious! Speaking of delicious, check out the beautiful cake by Rexburg Cakes, with florals from the amazing Plush Floral.
The wedding guests enjoyed beautiful and heartfelt toasts from her cousin and his best friend. Toast are always a highlight of the night! Another highlight was the sharing of their Love Story by DJ Chris. Chris always interviews the bride and groom prior to their wedding day and reads it to the wedding guests. It's always a favorite memory for couples and guests! The rest of the night was full of music and dancing! The best way to celebrate and end a perfect day!
