Beautiful summer Wedding | E + M

Rexburg, Idaho Temple Wedding

Emree and Mackay's wedding day was an absolutely beautiful day! It was full of nothing but pure love from start to finish. For a long time, Emree and Mackay were planning to be married in the Rexburg, Idaho LDS Temple. Emree grew up not far from the temple, and went often as a young girl so it had special meaning to her. Mackay had attended BYU-I, the college just south of the temple, and loved it as well so it was a perfect choice! It's a gorgeous temple with beautiful grounds. It sits atop a hill that over looks city and college below. The couple chose an August wedding to celebrate the beginning of their life together. The weather was perfectly warm, sunny, and calm. It couldn't have been more perfect! For the Bride and Groom, it meant everything to have so many people they loved surrounding them on their wedding day! Grandparents all the way down to little cousins and babies were ready to celebrate their big day. Because not everyone could be in the temple, they choose to hold a ring ceremony and exchange vows as well. Emree's little brother, just under 2 years old, was the ring bearer, and performed his job perfectly! It was so adorable!

After their ring ceremony they fed their guests, while their parents gave loving and heartfelt toasts and speeches. They're friends and siblings also celebrated the happy couple with video presentations, and good luck baskets with inside jokes and gag gifts! Something every wedding luncheon should adopt. I highly recommend it!

On to the party and celebration! Beginning with the cutting of the cake, with a twist. Their guests were invited to donate to the "Bride" or "Groom" jar. Whomever raised more money would get the cake in the face! Remarkably they tied!! What are the odds?! I guess that's fair. Both got a nice cake smash in the face, but between you and me, I think the groom got the worst of it!

First dances were next, daddy-daughter and mother-son. I cry every time! These dances are my favorite. I also love the couples dance to find out who has been married the longest. Mackay's grandparents won, and gave the newly married couple loving advice as they embark on their new life together. Next, it was party time! This couple loves to dance as do their guests! They danced the night away only stopping to grab a drink and a cookie to fuel up.

Lastly the send off! Even though the guests struggled a bit with the ribbon throwing, haha, it only made for more laughter and fun running down the aisle to their getaway car!
